Texas lawmakers (GOPs) are attacking H1b visas for teachers and others in education. They don't care about the needs of school districts, they seem intent on some sort of purity ideathat only Amerkans need apply!

Call me the devil if you must but I would like to see a list of quotes from public speakers who demeaned protective measures against Covid, with their dates of death from the disease!👿 Sadly, many of those nasty folks were able to hide in their gated communities while health workers died.

The V A seems to be suggesting/prescribing supplements a lot. I'm wondering if that is science led. Interested in knowledgeable, scientific opinions. (I know there will be unfounded comments but hope some folks who really are qualified will post.)

I wish the UN (or whoever) had come up with a more straightforward term than ethnic cleansing. It's not exactly describing a little soap and water bath.

If a Canadian citizen is sent back to Canada for slapping a US teenage trump supporter I can accept that. What I find abominable is that the U S president is a convicted rapist!

So far no news of deaths or injuries but it's been an active morning weather wise in South Texas. Red Cross opening a shelter in Uvalde. There was a small tornado in San Antonio. Lots of small floods in flash flood alley. 2

In an article about concerns for the possible mass removal of children: "send them home" seems inappropriate. It's an AP article by Valarie Gonzalez and Rebecca Santana if you want to read it. Wouldn't "country of origin" or "former" home be more truthful?

The Supreme Court decision on TPS reminds me that during WWII the US refused entry to Jewish refugees fleeing Hitler. They were sent back to die. Yes, I know other countries did this as well, but this is my country!

I wish people would quit posting articles that you can't read without subscribing to a publication. I can't afford to subscribe to every newspaper, newsletter, magazine for one story. I'm a retired public employee, not a billionaire.
