We are fucked, that is decided, but that needs to be the start of the conversation not the end. Margaret always says stuff better than I can, and does a better job maintaining some positivity fornthe future (without succumbing to techno-hopium like some)

i’d been putting off sitting down to read james’ new book because i don’t know a lot about myanmar or rojava or the spanish civil war & i was worried my lack of subject matter knowledge would be a barrier…. that was so silly of me. listen to him read the first chapter. it’s so heart breakingly good.
