A Florida “Deputy of the Year” resigned after an investigation found he used Flock cameras to track his ex, put a gun in his girlfriend’s mouth during sex, used racial slurs and apparently gave a Nazi salute.

This seems to have been the final straw for Flock in Florida.

I posted an Anki deck I used to pass the DeepMind research quiz in 2020.

Six years later an Oxford AI Research Lead shared the deck on LinkedIn.

His post about the deck went semi-viral on LinkedIn:
1.3K reactions and 71 reposts!

Never seen this many LinkedIn notifications in my life.

For the first time in 13 years of collecting the data, the CBRE has found there are now more tech workers in New York than San Francisco.

This seems to have been driven by AI in two ways; AI-driven layoffs in SF and hiring for AI jobs in Finance in NY.

AI giveth and AI taketh away.
New York unseats San Francisco as the top market for tech talent, CBRE reports
AI-related roles now account for nearly one-third of all tech-talent job listings in the U.S., per the new CBRE report.

OpenAI’s first hardware device is rumored to be a smart speaker with a human-like AI that can control smart-home appliances, play media, answer questions, and respond to messages.

It sounds like an Amazon Echo device with ChatGPT instead of Alexa. Hard to see this as a meaningful game changer.

Excellent show! I strongly recommend.
Katie Dippold has created one of the biggest surprises in recent memory. What appears to be a workplace comedy becomes one of the most frightening stories I’ve seen in a long time. The cast top to bottom is excellent the writing and direction is fantastic. One of the years best!
