Interestingly the password screen (yes I use passwords even on an emulator) is censored in the USA version. The statues got their curves covered up... JP version is on the right.

I heard the JP version is easier and has an improved sound chip and WOW they weren't lying. This recurring Cyclops boss gave me trouble last time, now he's braindead easy, I kinda feel bad. Got back to where I was in about 30 minutes. And yeah the music is much much better.

Playing CV3, the ghost ship level was insanely hard I was stuck there for a long time. I got to the Water Dragons and took a break. Then I saw people saying to play the JP version instead so I started over...

Beat Castlevania again (still had to cheese Death with holy water, never been able to beat him with crosses). Gonna play more of the series now, starting with Dracula's Curse. Wish me luck

it honestly reminded me of CUCK (2019) if you remember that... like "let's make a Chris Hansen movie because TCAP is popular now" but what happens in it? stock characters, stock conflicts, no forward-driving motion. color by numbers A24 standard fare (albeit shot artfully). 5/10
