We did it! 24.82 mi/39.94 km Day 2. 52 mi/83.62 km total. 6.3 km over the last bridge w/ views that were amazing. Def would do Onomichi-Imabari vs other way & e-assist bike again due to more terrain & slope of 3-5% in spots. Thanks #Japan for making this possible!! #shimanamikaido #cycling

Survived day one, even through all the rush caused by the plane delay. Our arms are killing us from carrying around all the equipment all day, but we made it to Onomichi, got the bike setup (even though we forgot a tool in Tokyo) and landed an amazing little guest house.
