don’t know a ton about government financing.

And even I know the President isn’t supposed to have tax immunity and his own government-funded slush fund.

How is this happening in broad daylight?

White people disgusted by this racist display are making pithy jokes in the replies.

I want acknowledgment that it’s physically painful to think about our black elders, in particular, enduring the consequences of a Supreme Court decision that augurs a return to the Jim Crow era.

The stupidest man alive has the US nuclear codes.

It's all too absurd to be real.
Trump: "I took three cognitive tests. Aced all of them, by the way. I'm the only president to take a cognitive test. I don't think Obama could pass it. The first question is very easy -- it's a lion, a giraffe, a bear, and a shark. They say, 'Which one is the bear?'"

A little poetic that Epstein related news is trampling all over Trump's superficial "Board of Peace" event.

Our leadership is too busy terrorizing immigrants and their children to investigate Americans who terrorized young women and children. It's DEPLORABLE.
It's wild that, here in the US, we can't seem to find any evidence implicating third-parties of criminal conduct in the Epstein files, but they are easily finding that evidence everywhere else.

And, they are acting on it.

Ossoff: "Among today's false prophets are the election deniers who indulge this president's obsession with overturning the 2020 election. Hear me when I say this -- they tell a lie so absurd, and therefore so debasing, that the act of telling it proves the teller's total and humiliating submission."

Every time Trump breaks the clear letter of the law, the NYT and WaPo write a story about how he’s “pushing boundaries” or “testing the limits of his authority”

He's not Chuck Yeager, guys. He's a crook.

It takes a special kind of delusion to tell parents to buy their kids fewer toys and pencils while bragging about building a new White House ballroom and gold in the Oval Office.
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

Jesus. Cruel and unusual, anyone? This is maddening.
Please read this first-person essay from Lanae Tipton, an incarcerated journalist in Texas with a desperate plea for air conditioning in prisons. She’s watched women seize on the floor from the heat. As one prison staffer said, “I vomited blood.”

I Watched a Woman Nearly Die in a Cell Across From Mine. Texas Prisons Need Air Conditioning.
More than two-thirds of Texas’ 100 prisons don’t have air conditioning — that can mean the difference between life and death.

This day is looking up with every passing hour. So many little God winks have paved the way for smooth sailing today. Might even kick out a little early and prepare to enjoy a lovely weekend with my favorite boys (one human, one dog).

TGIF!

It's trying, is what I'm struggling to say. What I mean is, I'm exhausted.
I run a nonprofit trying to do good works in our community every single day of the week. It feels like swimming upstream in the best of times. Since January, there are a lot more soul sucking days in the mix. We're still doing good, but the need overwhelms and it feels like eating an elephant whole.

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but with all the over-access we have to national and global news, is it too much to ask that our local news outlets actually report...local news?

Living his best life!!
This is Sausage. His humans got him his very own swimming pool and he's obsessed with it. We asked them if he swims every day and they said, ”Every single day. He follows us around the house until we take him outside AND sit and watch him. If we’re not there he won’t swim." 14/10 good for him
