In English local elections, the voting system means councils often don’t reflect the way people actually voted. Right now, millions of local votes don’t help shape the final result. You deserve a voting system where all help shape what happens next.

Another #PrideMonth, another morning browsing comments asking why it's necessary.

For humanists, Pride is still a protest. Religious 'conversion therapy' is STILL happening: exorcisms, beatings, forced prayer....

Abuse – even if it is disguised as religious compassion – should NOT be legal 🧵

Yesterday, the International Space Station made contact with Artemis II, marking the first time in history that two spacecraft on separate missions communicated directly with one another. A first not just for space travel, but for humanity. Incredible.

We've subsidised oil companies for decades as we "need" their products to run society, but now we dont, we need to use those same subsidies for heat pumps, EV's, solar panels, turbines, bio mass what ever else we can use to generate electric, it's only fair, we'd get to "net 0" real fast that way.

The Church of England is in steady decline – yet it controls the majority of state-funded faith schools, and has openly stated its aim to double its number of 'young disciples' by 2030. Taxes shouldn't fund evangelism and schools should serve ALL local children.

The latest polling is in. The majority of the public respect personal faith – but DO NOT want religion in politics or in public institutions. From bishops in the Lords to faith-based school admissions, the status quo is out of step with modern Britain. 🧵

52% of U.K gas consumption is for heating and cooking (mainly heating).

The Government committing to the simple task of delivering a heat pump, electric oven, and induction hob at every home in the land, to reduce emissions and increase energy security, should be a strategic national priority.
