I’m visiting family 4 hours away and found out there’s four book stores all less than 300 meters away from me. Thank god we don’t have that much family here so I can spend tomorrow doing that.

On a road trip with my family and they got me to put on an audiobook. Every 10-15 minutes I’m going to speed it up by 0.05 and see how long it takes them to notice

Just had our first substantial snow fall of the year (yay!) and found out my winter boots don’t fit. A) I thought the beauty of being an adult is no more growth spurts so you didn’t have to keep buying clothes and B) guess I’m wearing docs all winter

“My reading year ends at Dec 31, 12:59:59” no it ends at whatever time I go to bed. If I start a book at 9pm, and finish it at 2am, I finished it the same day I started it and that’s how I record it. I measure days in when I wake up and when I go to sleep, not your silly calendar/clock method

Finished a book I got at the book store and realized the next one doesn’t come out until may. Then realized that it’s actually a finished web novel so I can read the rest of it online. My impatience is pleased

Me and my friend go to the bookstore every week, and tonight the person at the cash said “this is a disrespectful question, but when you’re here are you always buying all these books for yourself” 👁️👄👁️ I explained that yes and I do in fact read that much and they are in fact for me

Just found out an author I love used AI art for their promo, and in a group chat about their book not a single person had a problem with it. I can’t get over the fact that people can be told all the reasons why gen AI is bad, and still not care when it’s used.
