Every game, even the most simple, is an amazing little universe unto itself. It has its own rules for how things work and what's important. You can lose yourself in this alien place, maybe figure out how to master it, see how well it relates to our own world, or just admire its machinations.

Sunnyside shout-out in the latest @84play.bsky.social podcast! I also lived there while they were shooting a Spiderman movie. (They've done a few here!) I was a little disappointed to find the new Pizza Hut was just a fake storefront for product placement in the movie.

Flash games were the early democratization of game dev. Despite a huge playerbase, they don't get much love today. And with Flash Player dead, most are lost to time.
Sad to see my own old stuff unplayable, I checked out Ruffle, an open source Flash Player emulator. 1 line made my stuff work again.

It feels too late now but they should have put barcode scanners on controllers. So often you have to type in codes to unlock things, imagine if you just scanned a barcode? Imagine how much easier it would be to to enter Balatro or Minecraft seeds, or share created characters online

I am unbelievably shattered and heartbroken with the news coming out of ZenMax Online and Xbox in general today. The team at ZOS is made up of amazing, dedicated, smart - and above all, awesome humans. To see so many of them laid off today - and last year at this time - is just awful

It's funny that the manufacture date and design of this device is so similar to an old Nokia brick cell phone, but the vibe is the exact opposite.
