With severe rain events getting stronger and stronger as global warming increases, maybe flood-prone areas like this on the Schuylkill should be left alone to absorb some of the storm water before it heads into Center City.

Years ago, I might’ve been offended by it. But I’m much older now and think it’s kind of necessary on the bumpy rides out here in an old city like Lancaster. But for trains and subways, I don’t think it would be necessary.

I’m one of them. The buses where I live have a whole strap in process that takes a bit of time. I was just curious.

Any idea how a person in a wheelchair navigates this? Is there no gap between the train and the platform? Is 60 seconds enough time?
