Frankly I think states that voted for Trump should be considered tourism no-go zones for a few decades, no matter who the next presidents are.

I don't trust populations that vote for an open fascist. They supported his hate-based campaign, they just don't like him now because he's hurting them.

Can you friggin believe chem trail conspiracies are back?! I feel so embarrassed for us as a species. It's just such obvious nonsense and yet here we are.

Then he'd go off on tidewater this & tidewater that. But he'd just ignore you if you pointed to the proportionality clause & how successive CONSERVATIVE govt's in Alta & Ottawa locked his industry into trade w/ the States. And this guy has a law degree! But whatever. Trudeau lacked enthusiasm, so…

There'll be Albertans with literal jobs building this pipeline who'll be fucking pissed right off that no pipelines are being built.

This is a case where they're more just holding forth loudly on stuff they don't really know very well.

Which… like I'm one to speak… I guess it's a game recognize game kinda situation…

Like, I'm not surprised you'd have planners looking for ways to sneak higher density zoning into a place like Regina when you have the Grumpy Facebook Grandpas basically threatening to tear up everything the city promised CMHC they'd do to get their $35million of housing bucks. #yqrcc

While this looks transit-oriented, maximizing access to the subway would look more like circles of residential density around each station, rather than one long string of density down the road.
Corridor Zoning is not Transit-Oriented Development
Corridor zoning is a style of development, in which major arterial streets are zoned for high residential and commercial density, while side streets remain zoned for low density, sometimes even for…

My most radical take is that TOD is a scam invented by single-family home preservationists to find a scientifically sound way to concentrate "those people" is specific areas outside of where real people live, and urbanists have embraced it because it's better than nothing.

Meanwhile… fucking hilarious that these tech utopians are defending AI slop by redrawing lines between commercial art & "pure" art as if the 20th century didn't happen.

Doing shitty advertising gigs is how many real artists & designers hone their skills when they're starting & how they earn a living while working on their capital-A Art.

All that work is being stolen by slop extruders.
