Nobody able to buy tickets. Queue system, reachable for only some, leads nowhere. Not a good look.

End of the Road festival on Friday. One of their spiritual homes.

I saw them at The Powerhouse in Birmingham back in the day. They were bloody ace and were the gateway to discovering The Velvet Underground, much as the Bunnymen had been for The Doors.

Greatest album ever made. Mac was wrong.

I watched them at Digbeth Civic Hall in Brum around then, probably on the same tour, aged 11. I was scared witless but a lifelong fan ever since. How did I get in? Nan ran the box office.

Except at music festivals when it’s not “their crowd”. Then just play the bloody hits.

Just got free tickets to see Motrik at The Lanes in Bristol in August. I pay for a lot of gigs, but this could be the highlight of the year

I have that 7" single and you just shocked me that it was so long ago! Never thought of myself as a Goth, but alwats a massive Siouxsie fan and liked The Cult, All About Eve, The Mission, Alien Sex Fiend at the time. I might need to reconsider!

Deep Purple looking like good value

It is incredible to see that places like Stevenage and even Aylesbury Friars club were massive venues for top 60’s and early 70’s bands. Within reach of London on a Sunday or Monday night is the key!

Definitely the good old days, before the Pink Sunshine makeover and chart assault

AI helps you fix so many more problems these days. Unfortunately call centre employment will fall soon.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one, sexy Sadie

I think it was along the lines of "What have I done to deserve this?"

Mick Martin, Paddy Mulligan, Johnny Giles. West Brom legends!

It’s funny how time plays tricks with your head about time. I wouldn’t have put some of these songs in the same year. For instance Kings of the Wild Frontier would come after the “punk” bands in my memory.

Their Walk on By is one of THE great cover versions (also see White Rabbit by The Damned)
