Just wait til someone gets me on one-way downtown grids

Traffic calming / diversion by policy.

Because otherwise, only your richest neighbors get five one-way northbound streets in a row to keep the cars out.
Even the physical measures are problematic, bc some places get them, theyre based more on vibes than need, and just moves that traffic to someone else’s street.

And whose vibes always win? Rich white people.

doubt there’s anywhere else in Cambridge with five one-ways going the same way in a row.

Gotta make more ships because running things aground is Republican governance.

Democrats once again forced into governing as responsible penny-pinching stewards of a deficit-sensitized nation.

Russ Vought: "We fund what we need to fund. I'm not at all shy about we want to spend billions of dollars on a new shipyard. We're up there defending the $1.5t that the Department of War needs. But it's also coming at a ton of reduction on the non-defense side"

What a mic-drop of a line. Love it.
I'd rather have an economy that makes 1,000 millionaires than 1 billionaire.

Sitting in Revival in Davis gazing out at the new Elm St quick-build SBLs, and it’s great to see kids riding here, a thing I unsurprisingly never saw in the ‘before’ state.

“Car owners are the most abused constituency in Cambridge.”

Now is certainly a moment in time to label yourself ‘most abused’ because resident parking is going up to $75 per year.

Special Thursday bike bus. Girls took the front today, which always makes for a more-fun ride for me. Which is why we do it, obviously.

DoorDash walked into a buzzsaw of criticism and boycotts in D.C. this summer when it backed a Republican bill that would restrict when city lawmakers can impose new taxes and fees.

The delivery company is now walking back that bill: www.washingtonsun.com/metro/doorda...
