You wouldn't be saying faster if they employed sufficient staff on the check outs. How? They have you doing the work for them instead of hiring sufficient staff and maximising their bottom line and increasing profits. If you still don't get I suggest engaging your brain.

Excellent idea. I never use self checkout because no one pays me to do both the checker's and the bagger's jobs. Why should anyone donate their labor to a soulIess greedy corporation?

I don't self scan if the company is unwilling to checkout my items they don't deserve the sale. I have been known to ask them to scan or I will make my purchase elsewhere.

Nope it doesn't. What it did was make their profits increase and get you to do the work. Essentially you've been played if you use the self-checkout.
