Spending a lovely weekend in the Welsh countryside with a dozen or so friends for gaming and general catching up. Did I bring a solo play gamebook like the socially avoidant cretin I am? Yes, yes I did.
In my defence, I had a great afternoon

What else is one to do on a weekend in the Lakes?
Playing with Sound Realms’ re-release of Steve Jackson’s F.I.S.T. bought at last week’s Fighting Fantasy Fest 5. We ended our adventure petrified by a Stone Finger Beast. Now basking in the post-romp glow while we get the strength up to go again ;)

Having now met the man, I can attest that Iain McCaig is not only an astounding artist but a funny, enthusiastic, and kind human being and a highlight of my Fighting Fantasy Fest 5. When I asked if he would sign my bag his reply was a brief snort of excitement “my god, yes!”

Acquired a haul for FCBD today - and relearned my lesson about indie v large franchise comic/‘nerd’ shops. Heartily recommend Space Centre Comics in Sheffield for proper rabbit-warren/TARDIS vibes. Plus the staff are great.

D&D session tonight involved a very fun fight against the Easter Bunny. My character now has a very fetching (and functional) rabbit fur mantle 🗡️

Today I enter the Deathtrap Dungeon! As you can see from my janky scribbles it’s not my first visit and I’ve yet to make it passed the vultures. Time to pick a potion (crushed magical bean from South America), pack my provisions (warm angry wheat balls) and enter the depths of the Baron’s playground
