AI is occupying our lives. Its rapid rise has required massive investment in data centers. Their impact on electricity prices, energy security, & climate impacts are significant.

Today, I attended Chris Uhl’s memorial service. He understood the power of questions, connection, grace, impermanence, & fallibility so well. I feel his presence in my heart so often, especially when I’m working with students, giving them permission to discover themselves in the world’s wild heart.

Climate change impacted graduation ceremonies across the U.S. last week (including my son’s). It’s surreal to hand graduates their diplomas & celebrate while the remnants of millions of trees from over a thousand miles away fill the sky, obscure the sun, & irritate people’s lungs & eyes. #NewNormal

Truth: #solar energy is superior to fossil fuels. It’s gotten cheaper to manufacture, easier to build, works with batteries to provide base load, & can be scaled to power a home, sewer authorities, factories, & cities.
