40% of Asia's oil imports pass through the Strait of Hormuz. India imports 37% of its primary energy as fossil fuels. And Moody's has already cut India's GDP growth forecast for FY2027 from 6.8% to 6.0%.

Bosch and TATA AutoComp Systems Ltd announced a 50/50 joint venture (JV) focused on the development, manufacturing, and sales of e-axles and e-motors for the Indian market. Subject to regulatory approval, operations are expected to begin mid-2026 in Pune.
