Yes I agree. The Marsh Frits on Llantrisant Common have been all over the place this year. I didn’t see my first until 26/05/26, which is three weeks later than last year.

The name Weasel snout is derived from the Greek galeobdolon, meaning "smelling like a weasel"
There also a rare plant called Weasel snout which a small pink snapdragon.

Hi Ai-Lin, just to make you aware, one of the parakeets at Thompson park is a fair bit larger than the other parakeets there. We think it is an immature Alexandrine parakeet, and could possibly be the upper bird in your video.

Nice pic! That’s a male, hopefully if it stays it might start singing.

I suspect that is a young Herring gull with an adult Great Black-backed gull on the buoy.
