I’m right on the water line by the Breakwater

I did successfully make it back up the steep stairs from Wreck Beach!
I am making it a goal to venture down to Wreck Beach once a week to enjoy being naked outside!

The thing is that I just enjoyed having a nudist girlfriend to accompany me sailing. We did go for a 2 week sailing trip with her sister joining us and by the end of that trip we had convinced her sister to become a nudist too.
Her sister was also a good photographer and took several nudes of us.

Unfortunately after I had a bit of a nasty break up with my nudist girlfriend in the late 1990s I gave her not only the prints but the negatives, including the ones she took of me with my camera. I also didn’t have the capability to scan them until after 2000.

I totally agree!

I’m thinking that I am going to get down to Wreck Beach more often this year. I love to wander around nude and haven’t done much of that in years.

I’m thinking about April 10. I took several great photos on April 10, 2004 as part of a Wreck Beach protest to the UBC Marine Residence Towers including one that got wide publication across Canada in mass media including Western Living and McLeans, plus in international Nudist publications

I feel the need for another Sky Clad Forest and Moonlight bathing walk. This walk was so grounding.

I do wish I had more photos of myself sailing nude. Two of my ex-girlfriends do, one from the late 1990s has a lot of photos of both of us sailing nude but when we broke up she insisted that she keep them all.

My balance hasn’t recovered but I work around it by walking with poles.
Unfortunately two of my favourite activities, sailing ⛵️ and skiing ⛷️ are out.

I actually wish that I hadn’t put my clothes on when this boater passed by and took this photo. This was one of the last times that I sailed nude. This photo was taken in September 2020, I had a Mini-Stroke or TIA in January 2021 that unfortunately seriously affected my balance.

Another skinny dipping memory that I have was at a School Camp in Grade 7. We had a skinny dip night.
That would have been in 1969!
Those were different times!

Something else: there were “Shower Monitors” to make sure everyone had a shower before entering the pool.

I was walking past the old “Catholic Service Building” which used to have a small 20 yd swimming pool and I had a memory of skinny dipping there in the late 60s and early 70s. I remember that one of the reasons nudity was encouraged in those old swimming pools was that their filters were awful.

I also worked at both YMCA and Catholic boys camps in the early 70s. Skinny Dipping was the rule on all outtrips and “Voyager” canoe trips.
