For thousands of years, people have been using theNatchez Trace, today memorialized as the 442-mile Natchez Trace Parkway that winds its way through the states of Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee, providing tourists exceptional scenery and thousands of years of American History.

**Redford-El Polvo, Texas** A farming community today, Redford is located about 16 miles southeast of Presidio, Texas along Farm Road 170, which follows the Rio Grande River through both Big Bend Ranch State Park and Big Bend National Park. The settlement of Redford was officially established in about 1876, but, the area had been inhabited for centuries.

**Indiana** Indiana means "land of the Indians." It joined the Union in 1816 as the 19th state. Today, Indiana is a state of mostly small towns and midsize cities. Its largest city and capital is Indianapolis, where the nation's most famous auto race, the Indianapolis 500, is held each year. The state's residents are commonly referred to as "Hoosiers" although no one seems certain just how the name originated. The peony is the state flower. Veterans Day It was "the war to end all wars." Or at least that's how World War I was viewed in November of 1918, when it was known simply as "The Great War". And it was on the eleventh hour.. of the eleventh day.. of the eleventh month in 1918 that fighting ended on the western front of the war through an armistice; A day which would eventually be remembered and recognized in the U.S. as Veterans Day. In November of 1919, President Wilson proclaimed November 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day. In his proclamation, Wilson said: "To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations..."
