Big day. Fixed some stuff around the house. Groceries and hardware store trip. Matinee of Coyote vs. Acme with the family. And finished the day with Shiner at X-Ray Arcade.

She was the best of us.
Dolly Parton rose from poverty to stardom. She gave $500 to every student in her hometown who finished high school; she built hospitals & bald eagle preserves; her Imagination Library has gifted 300 million books to children. Roger Ebert met her and came away thinking she was a literal angel. RIP.

She was the best of us.
Woke up early and Zeke and I took in some nature. We saw a green and a blue heron. Lots of female mallards, a few bunnies and a doe and fawn. Got stung on my finger when investigating something that landed on the back of my neck, but otherwise a nice 3.6 mile loop before 8a.

Violent Femmes just did the National anthem before the Brewers game. Instrumentation was a recorder with percussion of brushes on a Weber grill. Keeping it weird in Wisconsin.

Last day in St. Louis. City Museum adventures and Brewers vs. Cardinals. Adventure fuel provided by Rooster and Pappy’s. Brewers got the win. Great end to a fantastic trip.

Day 2 in St. Lou. St. Louis Zoo and Laumeier Sculpture Park. Absolutely fantastic Zoo. Highlights include penguin exhibit and the stingray petting area. Kids had a blast. Had leftover Sugarfire for lunch and hit up one of my favorite chains for dinner. Need a Mellow Mushroom in Milwaukee asap.

Old man yelling at cloud here, but why are Muse tickets minimum of $90 at Summerfest in Milwaukee when you can see this tour at any surrounding city for $25? Can’t wait to see photos of a half empty venue. Absolutely ridiculous.
