Today’s #SCOTUS decision reaffirming birthright citizenship is a victory for the Constitution and the rule of law.
For more than 150 years, the 14th Amendment has made clear that nearly every child born on American soil is an American citizen.
Our Constitution endures because no one is above it.
For more than 150 years, the 14th Amendment has made clear that nearly every child born on American soil is an American citizen.
Our Constitution endures because no one is above it.
Today, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of upholding Birthright Citizenship.
While this is a welcome victory, this Court continues to allow the Trump administration to chip away at immigrant rights in this country.

Portland council approves strengthened language on ICE cooperation
Portland is the 3rd Maine city to pass such an ordinance, which codifies and expands upon a state law that will go into effect this summer.
