You know what's fucked? In parts of Scotland it's actually easier to get neurodivergence diagnoses as an adult than it is as a child. My wife and I got referred to a psychiatrist (same psych, 10 years apart) who signed off on a diagnosis there and then. Our daughter? After years of waiting we got

I'm not sure the motion is a good idea, but if one judges by the people opposed to it (and their complete inability to argue against its premise) it seems a positive step.

"It's racist to call racism racism when some of the racists are Jews" is a shit argument.

Well this pretty fucking awful. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to guess who the "anonymous donor" might be. I saw someone describe the likely candidate as a "rotten egg" earlier today which seems appropriate.
When we talk about dark money infesting our politics we generally think about Reform's Russian links, or the ADF pouring overseas cash into Christian anti-abortion and anti-LGBT lawfare. But here we see dark money in the heart of the Labour movement, quietly funding transphobia and exclusion.

TBF they say that about every Labour leader, regardless of their actual policies.
Likewise in the UK atm, lots of grumpy right-wing columnists are shouting "Back to the 70s!" accusations at our new PM, and no one cares.

I think it's more realistic to suggest that the lawyers have realised that being on Trump's payroll means they're going to get stiffed when they inevitably lose so better to lose quickly and minimise the losses.
Alternative take here but what if this was intentional by Trump's lawyers - realising the risks of discovery & wanting this case dismissed to prevent exposure but attempting to save face and create a narrative that "radical left" "corrupt" judges once again treated Trump unfairly?

The BoD trying to defend inviting Nigel "gas the Jews" Farage to address a rally opposing anti-semitism while barring Zack Polanski would be hilarious if it wasn't so serious.

Is the BoD motivated by Zionism or by right wing politics in general? Could be either.

Not a bad tactic to have Sarwar wield the knife; he can't be accused of seeking to be PM himself. The question is, of whom is he acting on behalf? I would always assume Streeting, because he's a conniving little shit, but those are hardly rare qualities on the Labour right.

It seems to me that one of the most obvious signs that transphobes are just making shit up is their radically different explanations for the existence of trans men vs trans women. The former they claim are victims of "social contagion" and predatory doctors, but the latter are fetishists and
