On our own, each of us is like an individual finger. But when we come together, we create a fist that punches through the walls of oppression.

We are the HIV Caucus! Join us.

Most of us didn't think we were vulnerable for HIV until we tested positive.

Because most people don't walk around thinking they're doing anything that exposes them to the virus. That's why having Sexual Health Awareness is so important.

Because everyone is vulnerable to HIV. And other STIs too.

"The faith-based organizations were there before HIV treatment started. It was the only comfort that we had. And they are there now. And they will be there even when HIV/AIDS is brought to an end as a public health threat."

On Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, we have to ask ourselves: Why does one of the most beautiful parts of our country have the largest rates of HIV?

Because of white Christian racism. If we want to contain HIV, we must first undue the ideology of medical racism.

Let's have a quick word about "falling out of care."

People living with HIV neither fail treatment nor do we fall out of care. Especially in systems that have been set up to fail us and blame them when they succeed.

Dear Robbie Kennedy,

Taking money from HIV treatment and shoving it into prevention is a divide and conquer tactic.

We see your machinations and we don't like them. Playing with Ryan White funding will strip people living with HIV of coverage.

But you already know that.

#AIDS2026 is over, but the powerful messages we heard and moments we saw will stay with us forever.

For example: Vanessa Johnson showed a young LGBTQ+ advocate from Ghana what is possible by sharing her wisdom & offering support in navigating the threat of same-sex criminalization in Ghana.

Peter Hunt's presentation on CARD8 and TACKs (Targeted Activator of Cell Kill) show that TACK can induce death among cells w HIV & reduce the size of the HIV reservoir. (The HIV reservoir is where hidden HIV cells live in the body. It exists even when people are virally suppressed & Undetectable).

We're live at #AIDS2026. Dr. Ronald Tamale speaks about Uganda Catholic's work providing HIV care to over 200,000 people. How do they do it? Working with the government and building trust with community.

However the org is requesting increased government finance to supplement user fees.

#Pride Month is ending but our protest for #genderaffirmingcare is just beginning.

U.S. PLHIV Caucus knows that #HIV care is gender-affirming care and has always been gender-affirming care.

Join us in ensuring that everyone has access to the care that works for them.

Time for a tough talk about MIPA:
The meaningful Involvement of People Living With HIV/AIDS.

It starts with asking yourself: Am I following MIPA? Or am I dictating how people living with HIV should live?

And acknowledging that anything that violates MIPA doesn't belong in the HIV movement.

June 5 is HIV Long-Term Survivors Day. It marks the 45th anniversary of the first official reporting of what would become known as the AIDS epidemic.

Today, we remember those we lost & recommit to protecting the HIV programs and community-led advocacy that keep people alive.

Maybe you can't deliver an amazing speech, but you can drive a car, or bake a chicken, or buy the chicken so that we can all eat. You don't have to be the hero. Jointhe fight to save our lives instead.

This reasoning came courtesy of Tori Cooper during the Building Trans Power Conference.

Every group needs a safe space to meet & discuss the issues that matter to them. Pathways to Success was created by Edward Lowry to honor that need for heterosexual men living with HIV.

They meet on the 4th Thursday of each month, 3-5 PM (ET).

This #MemorialDay, remember that every death from #HIV and #AIDS is connected to stigma.

We have treatments for HIV, but no one has found a foolproof treatment for stigma.

And yet we persist. Because it is the right thing to do & if we stop stigma, we will stop HIV.

Last year, the President began sabotaging efforts to end HIV. And new HIV rates have begun to climb again.

We can change this by advocating for HIV funding, treatment, and prevention. If it isn't already on your radar, Sevens Days in June is a perfect place to start.
