Point Source is a reference to identifiable sources of pollution like a gas flare, a smoke stack, or a tailpipe of a car.

Like the name implies, we’ll aim to identify who and what are driving the most important threats to the climate and public, always pointing back to their source.

That’s exactly why @emdashsanders.bsky.social and @rebleber.bsky.social are teaming up to bring you Point Source.

Together, we’ll investigate how fossil fuel disinformation pollutes public discourse, policy decisions, and democratic systems.

This project is launching right as the media landscape is pulling back from climate change coverage and the Trump administration is giving the fossil fuel industry free rein over democracy.

We need sharp watchdog reporting more than ever, not less of it.
