Just seems crazy to have your campaign message be "I'm the next Zohran Mamdani" while your staff join in on the bad faith pile ons against Zohran. 😔

Zohran Mamdani's victory wasn't a one-off for progressives.

I'm currently polling just single digits behind the lead, even though I was a "long-shot" candidate 3 months ago. That's because people-first politics WORK and we can't do it without you:

And may the shirtless grifter that keeps popping into grocery stores telling me not to eat them get fucked with a medieval torture dildo (iykyk)

It’s crazy how every 70 plus year-old man that posts that he’s joining the anti-Zohran coalition has at least three pictures of himself with Jeffrey Epstein.

Yet another reason to just elope ppl. When I finally find her, we’re eloping. I’m not giving relatives I hate free booze. Just elope, people!

journalistic objectivity is a tool that is useful for certain things. it's been turned into an ideology by bad faith actors and cowardly, self-interested hacks with family money.

like all cults, it gradually destroys its adherents.
i genuinely dont know what other industry has failed as speculatively as journalism has failed at meeting this moment

we are talking about whether zohran is going to do a sharia law while gop has been trying to pass a bill to strip medicaid to pay for concentration camps like

I retract some of my earlier comments about Joy Ann Reid. I’m not saying I’m a fan but the side eye and shade she’s throwing at the RW about Mamdani is solid. Just goes to show you how important coalitions are to win imo.

You know what I miss? low budget action movies, when was the last time you saw an action film that wasn’t CGIed to hell?

the mamdani thing is showing you how limited the range of acceptable opinions actually is in america. republicans can be a stone's throw away from endorsing genocide and thats fine but one guy goes slightly to the left of dem party orthodoxy and we're right in the middle of soviet russia

i know people who at 19 were asked to lead men into combat. i think a 33 year old is plenty seasoned to be mayor, a job nearly everyone sucks at regardless of age

It definitely isnt most, every body builder or power lifter I know is as sweet as a kitten. It’s just the worst of gym people also happen to be the loudest. 99% of people who workout r super shy & have incredible empathy/emotional intelligence because they remember how bad they felt before the pump
I get exercise is a good thing, but why does getting jacked objectively make most people shittier? Is it an actual physiological effect or do you just have to be a stupid asshole to be athletic?

I agree but I do get the frustration. When you’ve been saying something for years and people finally come around to your way of thinking its hard not to be bitter about the gaslighting and shit you put up with before.

That said Sirota is still a kind of a dick🤷‍♂️
A certain type of guy is so allergic to coalition-building or taking a W that if anyone he deems uncool embraces his preferred candidate, it’s proof of something nefarious or insincere.

City run grocery stores! What’s next, city owned bikes you can rent by the hour!? Giant trucks that just “sweep” the streets clean!? Healthcare!?!?😱

You are such a fucking wuss.
If you’re hurting property, chances are high you’re hurting people too

Military bases literally have government run grocery stores. ✌🏼
We don't need to invoke Soviet privations to see how ridiculous a city-run grocery store is. It's economically illiterate and utterly impractical. And the complexities of the low margin grocery business are not comparable to state-run liquor monopolies in a few states.

nyt op-ed: we cannot normalize the left’s brazen attempt to win voters by talking to them
June 25, 2025 at 9:18 PM
I think a big issue is that we (ie the left) tend to lump anyone who is not a self identified leftist socialist as a liberal, when truth be told ideological labels are incidental to most people AND when you run on a cohesive platform and message not just an idealist one, you can actually win.
There’s a weird thing on this website and lots of left-wing subcultures, where people love to throw around “liberal” as an insult, but from what I can tell liberals voted overwhelmingly against Cuomo and are rallying behind Zohran now.

After yesterday's win, the Left nationwide can make a real turn towards mass politics

If this campaign didn’t fit your ideological priors, maybe those priors are wrong

Leftists can’t defeat the old establishment — let alone overcome the Right — on their own. And mutuality cuts both ways: we can’t ally with liberals only when we’re in the lead

It took a liberal-Left alliance to defeat Cuomo. Big props to Lander for being a man of principle who refused to punch Left

At the same time, Zohran smartly rejected a widespread leftist tendency to treat liberals and liberalism only as ideological competitors to be fought

Omfg not only did Zohran win, but Liver King, the absolute worst most toxic pos fitness influencer in human history, got arrested. Holy fucking shit guys, we might actually make it as a species!!!!

Dear liberals outside of CA who like Gavin Newsom:

Stop it. What he’s doing re immigration should be considered the bare minimum. Stop thanking politicians for doing the bare fucking minimum. Yall are just as cringe as Maga when you worship the ground your party leaders walk on.
