It’s thoughtful of USA to keep it close so there’s suspense for the fans and underdog energy, but feel free to blow France out of the water now.

Starting right now.

Anddddd now.

Now?

MALE EXEC 1: This datapoint says women’s sports have a large lesbian demographic. Lesbians like women. And we like women, so we know what they like.

MALE EXEC 2: Sydney Sweeney wearing next to nothing posed suggestively while hating talking politics! Air the “Just Sports” ad during FIBA WWC.

Is it good when an audience sticks their right hand out at an upward angle and repeats back everything that the leader says at a rally to show devotion to him
Trump: "Please right your right hand. I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States. That loves us so much he can't even breath. That I will go out with my family, my friends, I'll do it any way - I don't care if I'm registered or not, I'm going to try to cheat like hell..."

“City of Angels” (1998) home of a “National Treasure” (2004) might be “Gone in 60 Seconds” (2000) into an over “8MM” (1999) hole due to “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” (2022).

Fine, I’ll be WNBA commissioner. But I can only work Mondays from 1:23pm - 1:37pm. And any questions for me are answered via a ventriloquist dummy named Betty.

Banana slugs engage in apophallation, which is biting off the penis when it gets stuck during intercourse. It’s seen in Ariolimax dolichophallus (“dolicho” means “long” and “phallus” means “penis”) — that species lives in Santa Cruz. Banana slug is also the UC Santa Cruz mascot.
Tell me a fun fact.

It’s interesting how these record-breaking deals keep not only increasing in annual worth, but also in term length — the sponsorships are spanning longer periods, not just becoming more valuable per year.
Thread of last five record-breaking sponsorships in women's soccer (all front-of-jersey deals):

(1) WSL's London City Lionesses x Nike in Sept. 2026 for $4.06 annually (likely at least 7-year deal, as that's how much it'd need to be to hold new record, and thereby probably worth $28.42 million)

$4.06 million is an unusual number for a sponsorship — these deals are often whole numbers or rounded to the nearest quarter/half (either for annual or total worth).

It funny to think that they might’ve landed on $4.06 (valued slightly higher than Atlanta x Nike deal of $4) just for the new record.

Sophie Cunningham doing the transphobic version of “I’m not racist but…” — zero self-awareness.
Irresponsible reporting to let this quote stand without pushback from the reporter on the fact that there is demonstrably no danger for cis girls who are in locker rooms or sports with trans girls. (Notable that the word “trans” is not followed by “people” or “women.” Dehumanizing language.)

There’s so much space between Caitlin Clark and Veronica Burton that if this were a middle school dance, the chaperones wouldn’t even bother reaching for the ruler to check if they’re maintaining 6-inch distance.
Be honest, do you see the foul? #WNBA

Doug Burgum is currently a second-stage Pokémon. He evolved from Eddie Munster, and will then evolve into the muppet Statler. I’m not sure why you keep questioning it.
BASH: But it peeled off. Why did that happen?

BURGUM: It didn't peel off. There was vandalism. There was box cutters. There have been 7 arrests.

BASH: There are photographs of people cutting a 350 foot gash in the reflecting pool?

BURGUM: Dana, I'm not sure why you keep questioning it
