Wyoming and its Colorado River headwater counterparts would avoid major mandated water-use cuts, but would still remain obligated to deliver extra water from Upper Basin storage reservoirs like Flaming Gorge.

The federal government issued an energy order for 17 states, including WY, thru 8/3 due to extreme heat.
