Finished reading In Ascension. I can see why the reviews on Goodreads suggest 'marmite'.
It is not quite what I expected, but I did enjoy most of it. Very focused on family and childhood memories for a sci fi as well as the ocean, space, etc.

Happy Earth day! Our garden is blooming with Wildflowers and cultivated, a mix is apparently best. Have really let it bloom since we moved here 6 years ago and it shows. No insecticides, leave most of the lawn to grow, welcome 'weeds' especially dandelions, and look!

Just finished Children of Strife. Absolutely love it. So good to be back in the world (if you are scared of spiders these will make you less so I think). An excellent follow up to the first 3 books. Worryingly true about how certain people would behave... Thanks @aptshadow.bsky.social

Just found our the USA version got stuck in customs so will be delayed until 21st April.
