It’s National Voter Registration Day!

Somebody fought, bled, and sometimes died so you could hold a ballot. Don’t let it sit in a drawer.

Register at VOTE411.org, then show up.

Todd Blanche is a real asshole. But then the whole cabinet sounds like Trump now, obnoxious, crude and stupid. Is it something in the water that not only makes them whores for power but encourages them to completely turn their personalities into clones of Dear Leader?

NEW on “Paper Trail”: You may have heard that President Trump did not attend his eldest son’s wedding. But you know who did? A Russian oligarch with close ties to Putin.

And he didn’t just attend the wedding — he bankrolled it.

I cannot stress strongly enough how big a lie this is.

As with his (and all conservatives') bullshit about ruined cities, he knows his followers have never actually seen the place and will be inclined to believe him.

Whitehouse grills Patel on Epstein 👇

WHITEHOUSE: Am I accurate in suggesting the missing 37 pages likely include FBI contemporaneous notes from interviews w/woman who said she was assaulted by Trump?

PATEL: I don't know what you're referencing. We've produced 3.5m pages

W: But not these 37

We’ve seen Russia’s dangerous recklessness on full display in the past 48 hours:
• A Russian warship fired flares at a Danish helicopter;
• NATO jets had to shoot down a drone over Lithuania;
• Russia struck a passenger train near the border with Ukraine;

Trump is a world-historical villain who's putting us all in extreme danger, so put him at the center of this story. Dems can highlight how Trump is actively using DOJ and EPA to help AI data centers steamroll communities, and vow that a Dem majority will stop it. 2/

Note the “people who believe” they were harmed. That is not scientific research devoted to actually efficacy and safety. For every dollar wasted we’re limiting actual innovations that will cure cancer and other diseases
Exclusive: The National Institutes of Health is preparing to launch a clinical research program to study people who believe they were harmed by vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccines. https://scim.ag/4xQW4W0
Exclusive: New NIH research center on vaccine harms takes shape
Clinical researchers will probe complications that can arise after immunization, but some worry about political influence

Yes. Even confining the debate to "AI safety" runs this risk. Dems aren't telling voters that one party stands for broadly sharing the fruits of the AI transition and the other (more or less) stands for deepening oligarchy, immiseration and potential civilizational catastrophe.
Published my own piece siding with Bernie this a.m. and just recorded a podcast on same—but @gregsargent.bsky.social is right about this general risk. There’s a mushy middle where Dems get drowned in AI PAC ads but don’t reap the upside of being the actual good guys. newrepublic.com/article/2154...

Still, I think the Republicans won on their essential goal, which was CHAOS.

Put it like this: *I’m* sure as hell not going to mail in a ballot. I might still vote early, but in-person for sure.
