Ironically, I think Caius sets up a really good example of forgiveness here. He holds Julg accountable for his actions, he empathizes with Julg's, he apologizes for his part in it all, and recognizes and thanks him...(All parts in comments)

I feel like the most tragic thing about these two is that suffering SHOULD bring people together. Loneliness SHOULD be the reason to love others. If these two had used their suffering into finding connection and support with others, to build a friendship with understanding, (More in comments)

Julg has done so much damage that he will never be able to undo simply because he could not accept a choice HE made. He choose to not confess to Caius. With every decision you make, whether the choice is for good or evil, you have to accept it may not work out in your favor. (More in comments)
