I just realized there is a breed of tiny cow! Called Punganur, from India. There’s an even tinier Nadipathy breed which is the size of a Labrador.

San Jose can we do the same too please? @mattmahansj.bsky.social

Comment like your lives depend on it! I usually try to be professional and data driven- despite this being something that would cause me much grief if not stopped.
Good news! We have more time to fight for our national forests. The Forest Service has extended the public comment period on the Trump administration’s plan to eliminate the Roadless Area Conservation Rule. The new deadline is October 6.

Just wanted to “happy rant” about how much I love Virgin Atlantic ❤️!! Amazing vegan meals and all the default snacks and drinks are vegan too 💚. Flown two long distance (intercontinent) flights using them over the last few years. Would recommend them if they are an option on your route.

The list of software industry trends below resonates with what I’m seeing and hearing from friends.

• IDE usage has plummeted in favor of coding agent CLIs.
• Flattening, Super ICs and career development is on the back burner everywhere.
• Costs now matter for AI tokens.
• Everyone is overworked.

Every one has multiple things going on in life - I guess this administration doesn’t know how to do basic things like ✨prioritize✨?

Oh the do prioritize- billionaires and pointless wars that benefit them, if anyone at all. Meanwhile America suffers.
He doesn’t care if he loses the election because he plans to steal it if he can. He can’t! We won’t let him.

Like he “promised” to end the war in Ukraine and bring down gas prices?
He's now resorting to trying to buy the election.

Federal law makes it unlawful to knowingly and willfully pay, offer to pay, or accept payment for registering to vote or for voting. (52 U.S.C. §10307(c).) Any type of incentive is considered “payment.”

He’s so used to Grok fabricating fabricating stuff for him he thought he’d try IRL 🫠
I have said for the last ten years at least that Donald Trump is the most un-American scumbag there is. To blatantly lie about one of the darkest days in American history is beyond infuriating.

Everyone loves watching green turtles in Maui while snorkeling- but few know how dire their situation was before the Endangered species act of 1978. There were no nesting sites on main islands and populations were 20% of their population pre exploitation by humans. Thanks to ESA it’s back at 80%!

It’s unfortunate the Google Maps+ Nano banana was taken offline so fast. Would have been interesting to see what it would look like to cover our national forests in data centers 🙄

Sumatran Rhinos and Elephants build useful tracts and watering holes with their activity which support other species in the ecosystem. So did indigenous peoples, now we’re just dissecting them and draining resources.

Just listened to a Mongabay podcast on Neha Sinha’s new book! Really related to it as someone who has relatively recently begun to take action to protect biodiversity- and would love to do more- especially in India! Can’t wait to read it!

San Jose is so beautiful when you spend enough time outside and can see native species ❤️🌱

Just saw a coyote on Montgomery Hill while going for a run last evening and saw some huge deer on the hill above Silver Creek Valley road.

Drive slow, enjoy the scenery

Our spoiled baby in blue operates resolutely on her own schedule. Upon leaving her stable in the morning, Kipekee ambles about and then saunters over to a bench for a scratch. All the while, an army of nannies tag team with each other to ensure this beloved infant is never left alone.

This is just sad. We’ve posted about this before. Now here is what is going down.

The rainbow crosswalk at the Pulse memorial in Orlando (created to honor the 49 lives lost in the 2016 shooting) has now become the target of state enforcement.

Donald Trump turned a booming economy into a stagnant one in record time.

His war on affordability and small businesses are having real impacts — from his chaotic tariffs to his job and economy-killing immigration raids.

California will continue to fight back.
