In my own defence, I WAS left unattended.
I did this very simple recipe yesterday.
Very tasty!

Was it lazy to answer the question "is it raining?” by opening the weather radar app on my phone instead of standing up, walking to the window, opening the curtains and peering into the darkness?

So.
I Google 'The bartender rips off your arm' to find the full Star Trek/Lower Decks quote:
"The bartender rips your arm off and kills you with it! It is not an honorable death since, technically, you have died by your own hand."

Google cannot be too careful, so its first reply is instructions;

#GENX – WE know where the pencil goes.

I was wondering what sort of image encapsulated GenX. There are many, many ideas: drinking from a garden hose (I never did that), heading home when the streetlights came on (I never had that), being a latchkey kid (I wasn't one), but a pencil in a mix tape?😀👍

The Silence of the Lambs, 1988

It's suddenly so dated. Not the story, as such, but the detail – a Rolodex. A car with a phone built in. The lack of DNA analysis. All those little things that we use our phones for now, including as torches (that's a lesser thing, but still a thing).

Simpler times😄

No idea, but I'm suddenly craving barbecue.

I don't know that I have ever seen this before.
Just enough of one colour eggs to fill up a row before having to swap to another color of eggs to do the rest of the box!

Damnit, I should have put a banana in for scale – to attract similarly boring people, you understand 😄😄😄😄

I just had a wish to open my front door,
shout "NEMATODE!"
and shut the door again.

I didn't, but it was close.
What in hell was that about? 😄

I found this image of a 14th-15th century hinge in the 'dictionary of French architecture from the 11th to the 16th century Vol 8' — Viollet-le-Duc, and thought it would be cool to reproduce in #Blender
Fascinating book and we can now get it translated on the page

Skeleton 150, excavated beneath Stirling Castle's chapel in 1997, has more than 160 separate fractures in a body 165cm tall. The body of a man who died around 1304 is the first known possible death by trebuchet rock.

Unlucky in an 'at least it was quick' kind of way.

That moment when you grab a backcloth for a fast photo of something cool and then can't work out why the washing load is small today 😄😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄

I found this door elevation and outline on Pinterest and thought it needed creating in 3D.
After some searching, the address is on Via Ercola Ciofano, Sulmona, #Italy, and still standing.

Another dream about owing a year's work and not having started yet, followed by the request to turn the front door upside down so that black is on the outside and white on the inner (don't ask about the dentil shelf or window).
Then the fight dream.

The pleasure at seeing my 'talk like a Terry Pratchett Igor'* request to #chatgpt be fulfilled by the phrase:

"The Moon Iſ a Harſh Miſtreſſ"*

*that "ſ" is a 'long s' character, that looks to us like an 'f', resulting in comments by Stan Freberg about "the purfuit of happineff".
