Kristi Noem has been referred by Congress to DOJ for Perjury investigation for lies she gave to the Senate & House on March 3 & 4.
One of the major lies was the role of Corey Lewandowski at DHS.
But unfortunately Bondi's DOJ won't investigate the Perjury.

Keeping a VERY close eye on this. So far, ICE is moving ahead quickly to get the warehouses open, but @nickmiroff.bsky.social's story suggests that once leadership officially changes, that may slow down.
NEW: with Kristi Noem out and mass deportations polling badly, ICE's $38 billion warehouse conversion plan is in trouble and DHS officials say a "pause" wouldn't be a bad thing www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...
What Happens Now to Kristi Noem’s Warehouse Jails?
DHS’s next leader will inherit a fast-moving $38 billion plan for industrial-scale immigrant detention.

Update to my story last week about a family of Russian asylum seekers who’d been held more than four months at the Dilley detention center.

Five days after we reported on their case, ICE reversed course and let them go.
Russian family who complained of mistreatment in ICE facility is released after 4 months
The family’s lawyer had sought their release on medical grounds. They were freed from detention days after NBC News brought attention to their case.

NBC ran a piece where Mary Carrillo went to Norway to find out why they're so good at the Winter Olympics and i was yelling BECAUSE IT'S COLD THERE

then she went to a little tiny ski jump for kids and was like "it's free, equipment is provided, & they don't emphasize results"

and i was like.

On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

Abolish ICE and fire all agents is the moderate position.
I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.

The post-Me Too era has really taught me that the underlying issue with the persistence of sexual violence isn’t exactly women’s credibility, as the “believe women” slogan suggested, but rather with rape’s moral status. It’s not that people think it doesn’t happen. They think it doesn’t matter.
It's disturbing to see many of the the major figures in moral cognition all over the Epstein files

Okay so I was actually at this encounter, filmed the aftermath, and am briefly visible in this video, and I would point out that what he does here is briefly kick a car twice. ICE beats him up, shoots pepper balls into the crowd, and launches tear gas at everyone else before leaving.
News Movement posted this video of Alex Pretti on Jan 13, showing him spitting at ICE agents and kicking their taillight.

Now conservatives are suggesting this changes things.

That would mean they are suggesting he deserved to be target of an extrajudicial execution.

The video changes nothing.

ICE's decision to just leave cars abandoned in the roads is one of those dystopian things that makes you recoil in shock when you encounter it.
A legal asylum-seeker who works at Chipotle and plays music at a church in Maine went missing. His pastor searched and searched, eventually finding his abandoned car with the keys on the floor.

ICE grabbed him. No criminal record. No explanation.

The murder of Charlie Kirk could have united Americans to confront political violence. Instead, Trump and his anti-democratic radicals look to be readying a campaign to destroy dissent.

Stephen Miller: "The last message that Charlie Kirk gave to me before he joined his creator in heaven was he said that we have to dismantle and take on the radical left organizations in this country that are fomenting violence. That was the last message that he sent me ... we are gonna do that."
