Maybe Kursk? All of Western Europe is kind of maritime and warmed by either the Med or the Gulf Stream. To get so far inland, you're stuck with Russia.

I guess Churchill is trying to be Murmansk?

OK, but's on the North Atlantic, unaffected by the Gulf Stream, instead of the Mediterranean. At least bring a sweater and a tuque.

"We've heard from California Governor Gavin Newsom that these tariffs and the way the United States is treating Canada is not going to change just because Trump left the Whitehouse" ... Carney's making other plans... it's the right thing to do. US Exceptionalism is everywhere down there.

It doesn't matter. He gets the sound bite, sprays it out on all channels, the followers all nod in satisfaction, and nobody reads the correction/community notes, or if they do, they ignore them because they are against the tribal party line. Part of "flood the zone"

He's an excellent communicator: he broadcasts an idiots view of the world, and the idiots correctly identify one of their own. It's idiocy as a tribe.

If I sell 320$ to someone and buy $300 from them, but build stuff I can sell for 600$ from what I bought, I'm making 280$ a year. Simple, Right? Multiply by a billion, that's the US trading with Canada.

Mr. Global is a great source for this. He said that, it isn't pure oil. it's mixed with water, and the lower the SPR gets, the more difficult it gets to separate, so the rate you can draw at drops.

That would be never. The tariffs are paid by the importer of record. The importer chose the price to charge distributors and customers. The customer paid the price. Nothing to do with tariffs. The importer will get the windfall.

Yeah... I don't remember where I read about elevators, but it's insane... In North America, the elevator standards are such that they cost, like 10x what they do in Europe. I think there's also like 2 or 3 companies? in Europe there's at least a dozen. but that was just one example.

These people are for MMPLS, Which is what I would prefer. I donated for a while... the CAQ, Liberals, Greens and QS had all signed www.fairvote.ca/pro-rep-for-...
CAQ forgot as soon as they were elected.

In other news: water is wet. Such sterling examples of motivated reasoning have never before been observed in nature. Perhaps Jared should equally observe that if Russia left Ukraine,a deal could be equally rapidly obtained.

It's a new front in the trade war with Canada. The US declaring itself free to restart spewing pollution from Coal plants across the Canadian border. This is supposed be banned by the Readon-Mulroney Agreed Montreal Protocol, to deal with "Acid Rain"

Get 5 people to each send in 4K$ each and when the Gov. checks go out you send your 5K$ divided by 5 people, so 1K$ each. You're not lying. You're sending your entire 5K$ back.

Maybe tax unoccupied homes at a punitive rate when they are in dense areas. tax for profit and luxury rentals at a higher rate than ordinary residential. Make it uneconomic to speculate, or hold onto empty homes.

you could have every other train stopping at every other stop. The key is that you need four tracks at every station to let the through traffic not stop. Heck if there´s way too many stations, then you can interleave each station stopping at every third or fourth station.
