The more this automated voice says thank you for your patience the less patient I get.

Especially considering it's their fault they can't install a fucking meter properly.

What the fuck is the point of a noise bylaw if businesses can just fucking ignore it and blast music til all hours of the night?

Fucking useless police force refusing to do anything about it is insane.

The fact they're still so mad about the alcohol not being on Canadian shelves, because of the bullshit they started, is fucking hilarious, it shows it's working.

Get fucked, we're never buying your booze again.

A couple things:

Most immediately, the tariffs are probably a negotiating ploy to get concessions from Canada over a (probably rolling) 30 day window

More broadly, use of Section 338 is an escalation in Trump's tariff powers. If he's more willing to use 338, then lots of trade wars will escalate
ok quick why 338 matters: never-previously-used section of the smoot-hawley tariff act. allows the President to impose up to 50% duties on imports from countries that, in his view discriminate against American commerce. no time limit. unclear on judicial/congressional review.

Waiting for a game Argentina plays where they're actually the better team that earned the victory.
The fact they've made it to the semi finals is a joke.

Good. Now remove ALL of the AI bullshit next.
Meta said in a statement “we've heard the feedback that this feature missed the mark,” so it is removing the AI feature from Instagram

The fact they can postpone elections purely for the purpose of redrawing the boundaries is absolutely ridiculous.

WaPo reports Louisiana’s governor will announce on Friday that he is suspending the House primaries where people have already started voting and redraw the map; I’d expect them to go for an all-Republican map and eliminate both majority-Black districts, not just one.

Gov. Jeff Landry (R) told Republican House candidates he plans to suspend the May 16 primary elections so lawmakers can redraw the congressional map.

I am thinking of so many conversations with undergrads who were uncomfortable with protests, sit-ins, and other tactics that "inconvenienced" white people, and I would ask them what approach Black Americans should have been using instead.

They'd always say "voting" and then the penny dropped.

Carney spends over $2 billion to cut fuel taxes right after cutting $5 billion in funding dedicated towards supporting, maintaining, & upgrading transit in Toronto and across Canada that millions rely on.

Remember, public transit is the real solution to high fuel prices - not temporary tax cuts!
We’re cutting taxes on fuel across Canada.

Starting next Monday, you’ll save up to 10¢/L on gas at the pump.

Honestly I can't believe they won Terrebonne. That is an incredible commentary on how people feel about his leadership, and rejection of the Bloc.
This is a time to come together so we can build a Canada strong for all.

It's amazing to me to see how many people seem to think only a pipeline could be a nation building project??

How is funding a project to enrich private businesses nation building?

Like obviously I'm biased but shut the fuck up and let us build high speed rail you clowns.

Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

What about painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.
