I wish the story of Frank De Martini, Pablo Ortiz, Peter Negron, Mak Hanna, and Carlos da Costa were better known. Normal office guys who just grabbed some tools and saved almost 80 people the firefighters never even reached. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_D...

First impression of the first significant move by Chayka: negative. Benoit won't be missed. Andrae is an upgrade, if whoever is hired to coach trusts him. Woll to Ersson is a significant downgrade. Shipping out Stolarz would've been far better. Getting a 3rd is a small consolation.

So happy to see the Hurricanes defeat the Golden Knights. Multiple reasons, but special shout outs for guys I enjoyed scouting: K'Andre Miller, Jackson Blake, Brandon Bussi.

On Chayka. He was banned from the league due to draft shenanigans. His NHL teams did not succeed. His draft classes, after his first 1st round picks (Keller, Chychrun, one month after being hired), were uninspiring. Coyotes drafts post Chayka were significantly stronger than with him.
