In the UK we have a free and open media but I regularly see stories when the obvious next question is not asked. Salmonella in eggs resulting in illness for British people the obvious but not asked question is where did they come from and who imported them. It's a secret.

I wondered why so much of the new building in London is so ugly. Then I realised it's intended for foreign ownership. People who want somewhere safe to hide their money. They are not going to live here and have no interest in what it looks like.

Little bits of information about the USA still shock me. Native Americans got the right to vote in 1924 but many states blocked them. Through the 1940's and even into 1970 restrictions still applied.

Try to imagine another world leader behaving in the manner that this man has. It’s nearly inconceivable. I don’t believe that he has normalized this kind of behavior across the board; he’s just made it normal for him. He’s the president of lowered expectations.
