By their own choices, the Republican elite are pure rot. The Democrats are about half rotten (my impression). I’m voting Harris to most effectively stop Republicans. When/if the GOP breaks its billionaire habit, I’ll focus on opposing the Democrats. I share your disappointment though.

I’ll agree that Dems’ attempts at helping have been feeble. That said, Reps have been very unified in forcing rules that put short-term corporate profit above all. Many of us will get cancer and die broke just so that the Rep (and some Dem) funders can enjoy greater luxuries. Seriously.

There’s a very narrow path to avoid further dystopia. Dems are the first step if only to strengthen voting rights. The other side tends to make changes that favor the ultra-wealthy (actions, not words). Not certain Dems will follow through on returning power to the People, but certain Reps won’t.

I’m surprised that they’ve openly published their plan to pack the government with loyalists!

Not sure if it’s the same metal, but I have quite a bit attached to an ankle. No issues with magnetometers.

I really don’t like subsidies that ultimately divert farmland for fuel production.

Side note: corn ethanol + carbon capture subsidies = likely imminent domain abuse in Iowa

Have you heard of Lanzatech? Their tech looks promising as long as green hydrogen development doesn’t fizzle out.

I’m just an amateur, but I’m here mostly for wonkery. 👍

If you mean how narrow their hopes for federal government - maybe it’s the result of exposure to decades of propaganda opposing taxes, regulations, and anything else potentially inconvenient for certain wealthy entities.
