Locally to me, a person was filmed while in mental health crisis and the video went horrifically viral - a thing they wrote about later on as being just devastating. It is cruel and it should not happen.

One thing that's very scary about US aggression towards Canada is how every time it happens, Americans liberals don't really seem to treat it as a major issue.
Have the Dems come out forcefully about Canada? All I ever really see are Dem governors asking us to go there on vacation.

I sent a fairly furious email to Tim Hortons and got a bland response back that Harry Potter is "iconic" and "magical", which makes me feel like Tim Hortons was really, really unprepared for any sort of negative response.

Fantastic (this is sarcasm) news this morning: town council (100% old people) recently declared it to be "Christian Heritage Month" in town AND I have found out that my mother-in-law (who is both dying and who has also never liked me) is coming over for much of next week.

Is everyone talking about Star Wars? Here is my Star Wars story - I grew up in the 70s but I never, ever saw a single Star Wars movie because my dad had taken great and permanent offense to them for some reason and so the only property adjacent thing I ever saw was the Star Wars Holiday Special.

A friend's favourite Halloween story is when they - a teenager in the 90s - went trick or treating with friends, and stopped at an old guy's house who rolled his eyes to see teens, told them to "wait a fucking minute" and came back, tossing packs of cigarettes and bottles of beer in to their bags.

It's cold and rainy and we had THREE trick-or-treaters (a spiderman in a winter coat, a unicorn in a winter coat and a baby holding a wee pumpkin bucket).
