Would he have stopped with no VSC though? Sure they had it planned but he'd probably say no if it wasn't worth it. Would make them lose the 1-2

By the speed trace it looks like this quali is gonna really be a lot about the engine + deployment. Perhaps tyre wear will be more of a factor come race day

Pretty sure Gen 3 already had a driven front axle (for regen) before the EVO, so it was developed with that in mind. Not really the case for LMP2 chassis, but probably not impossible to work around it. Still there's hope these regs will be worked on to keep a good thing going

What upsets me most about the new regs is the lack of AWD. Wonder if its a limitation due to the constructors optional use of LMP2-derived chassis would make the packaging troublesome. Probably for cost savings too. Either way it undermines the LMH efforts that made this ruleset what it is today.
