I'm also not fond of the Internet being made more habitable by bots (thanks, WSJ for informing me there's a social media site just for them! 🤗), children (this is my big issue), and normies. The pushing of excessive censorship on any remotely serious topic on these sites also makes my blood boil.

We've paid Amelia Tyler, the narrator of Baldur's Gate 3, to voice pieces of the PC Gaming Show since 2023. If *we* can do it, a major game studio can definitely pay actors to say "I found some rusted tools" in ARC Raiders.
I'm here to tell you that voice actors (even very very good ones) are not expensive, more than make up for their cost in the value they bring to your game, and if Baldur's Gate can record real actors for every line of dialogue in the game, so can you for your 100 generic barks or even specific ones.

When I was in high school we were tasked to write an essay on a current event of our choosing. I picked the Iraq War and I wrote how the justification for the war was clearly bullshit and they were doing it just for the oil and to distract the people from other issues.
