So, the LOST SONGS LP has been out in this world for a few hours now. It's a slice of indie folktronica, awash with catchy tunes, sweeping synths and nostalgia for past musical times. You can stream it in all the usual places. Or buy on Bandcamp 😉🙏 blackwoodrediffusion.bandcamp.com/album/lost-s...
Blackwood Rediffusion have covered Dame Fawn Denier’s Better Days. And vice versa. Confused? Don’t be. Just have a listen on BandCamp. But hurry. The songs will only be there till Saturday morning!

Pour in one measure of sun-kissed, acoustic, slacker West-coast rock. Add a liberal dash of 70’s funkiness and stir in a bit of disco. Take a Barry Gibb vibe and filter it through an alt-80’s indie sieve. Top up the glass with plenty of synth-juice.

Jenga Blocks was written back when a certain orange-tinged politician seemed on the brink of his final comeuppance as a result of the E. Jean Carroll civil court trial. Sadly, we all know what has happened since. The song narrative pits a powerful misogynist against brave accusers.

Jonny was written and first recorded as an acoustic demo in 22-23. A tale about the camaraderie of friends watching international sport together, not all is as it seems as Jonny struggles on the periphery.

Is too much Rediffusion a bad thing? Quite possibly. But if you fancy a meander down the releases, there are now 33 songs on this playlist - including brand new tracks Jet Black Heart & Telephonic Radio. Give it a whirl if you like 80’s-inspired synthy-guitary indie?

Jet Black Heart was originally released as a scratchy demo in 2023 - now it’s been done properly. A slice of post-punk, with a driving bass line and guitars that build a mountain of reverb. The stream-of-consciousness lyrics were inspired by a beer menu on the wall of a bar!
It’s only a few days to go until Jet Black Heart and Telephonic Radio are released - the first Rediffusion double A-side. So …. what are the songs about??
Tune in tomorrow and Thursday to find out more!
