I bet if ChatGPT gives the go-ahead to target and kill a healthcare CEO, the media and oligarchy will just make some performative noise about the unfortunate cost of training AI and carry on Business As Usual.

I went to York today to see a friend's solo show at a gallery. And holy shit, Royal Square is so refreshing. I've been feeling really down artistically for the past month or two, and my skin might not be clear but I am sure as hell energized by what I saw.

So this little piece went up for auction to support the nibblings' school. I think they set the starting bid at $50, and in the end it went for $90. I wish I had any idea who bid on it and where it ended up, just for my own understanding of buyer behavior, but I doubt I'll ever know.
Got through a green hell before the calendar turned the page. Indanthrene blue and raw umber doing a lot of work alongside all of these greens. moorecozy.com/portfolio/li...

We report in the dusty, dusty evening. The way this day is waning is through a succession of layers of night. All of them are thin enough that there never is an exact moment when we can declare the conclusion of the day. Once we make it back home, the dust finally settles.

Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

Not a free pass for corporate-owned slop engines.
Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams
