Being undocumented is not grounds for murder.

Being a minority is not grounds for murder.

Fleeing a scene is not grounds for murder.

Committing a crime is not grounds for murder.

There’s a judicial system & due process for everyone.

When ICE kill people, it’s an extrajudicial execution.

millions of fireworks will go off in the next 48 hours.

the protest at the center of the Prairieland case last July 4th — a year ago tomorrow — was a noise demo setting off fireworks for the detainees inside the ICE facility.

did you know the federal government categorized fireworks as explosives?

may we remember speaker hortman every time a kid in Minnesota eats their free lunch.

every time a trans person moves to mn for safety.

when an undocumented person gets their driver’s license or a returning citizen gets to vote.

when we have clean energy and electric school buses and warm homes.
One year ago today, Minnesota Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark were senselessly murdered in an act of political violence.

In their memory, we recommit ourselves to the values that Melissa and Mark exemplified: building a kinder, more just, and loving world.

Weird that you don't hear the "it will grow the deficit" or "we can't afford it" arguments around the Iran war, because I've been hearing those arguments about every *good* thing the US has tried to do for decades now.

It's funny when money matters and when it doesn't.

if voting is choosing the conditions under which you organize, then there couldn’t be better conditions for pressure than NYC’s rn. that’s *why* you elect a mamdani & not a greg abbott or brad little.

it’s so you can say, “we deserve better than this” to someone who will allegedly listen & act.
I’m sick of this shit. The mayor made promises about protecting trans healthcare. He’s not following through so we’re holding him accountable

That doesn’t mean we all wish we voted for Cuomo! This isn’t a fucking cult! The whole point of being progressive is we can push our electeds to do better!

yes to this.

this is also how i feel about those mediocre christo fascist sandwiches!!!

makes me lose hope in getting people to lift literally a single finger.
I'm sorry but if y'all can't give up Happy Potter to help out trans people I have zero faith that you're going to do literally anything else to help us.

You're well within your rights to decide that you don't want to support trans people, but that is the choice you're making and the thing we see.

An immigration judge has ordered the removal of Liam Consejo Ramos, a Minnesota toddler who was detained by ICE.

The politics of citizenship might seem like the detail that distinguishes Liam’s story from the stories of our kids. But his innocence, like the innocence of all kids, is unimpeachable.
They want to tell you a kid with a Spider-Man backpack is evil
Liam Ramos' innocence, like the innocence of all kids, is unimpeachable. The visuals of his arrest are excruciating.

Homelessness is a policy choice.

Suffering is a policy choice.

Everyone deserves a safe place to lay their head, food on their table and healthcare.

When basic needs are met health and happiness improve.

We could easily provide for everyone… those in power don’t want to.

Something I've been trying to impart on people is that the ICE occupation in Minnesota is both an ethnic cleansing and an ideological terror campaign. It's clear that the second part has utterly failed; the community is not terrified. But ICE is now desperately trying to salvage the first part.

TikTok is now under US ownership and their new ToS reads like a guide to giving fascists everything they need to put you on a list.

They’re collecting information about immigration status, citizenship, sexual orientation, whether you’re trans or non binary and physical or mental disabilities.

I've talked to people on the ground about the strike here tomorrow, and the single thing everyone brings up is just how shockingly wide the support for the strike is. Businesses that no one would have expected to support it are doing so.
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

You can become disabled or homeless in an instant.

Even if you’re young and healthy.

Even if you have a “good job” and a back up plan.

Even if you think you’re doing everything right.

Disability and poverty are not moral failings.

They can happen to anyone.

The bartender at our local brewery said her monthly premium is going from $450 to $1250. Per month. This is more than the increase those of us with employer insurance see when we grumble about premium increases and I need such folks to understand. It is literally unaffordable.
People are going to die because of the pending insurance premium hikes. I know the terrain of discourse is inconsistent and goes through a tumble cycle every 24 hours, but I really think we need to hone in on this reality and drive it home for people.

This is an absolutely insane administrative process. Within the space of a week, states were told by judges/White House
*no SNAP benefits
*half benefits
*full benefits
*pause provision of benefits.
Result is chaos, uncertainty, and uneven access to benefits depending on where people live.
NEW: The Trump admin told states it must immediately "undo" the work to provide full food stamp benefits, or face penalties. The feds sent this in a late-night memo, only adding to the chaos and confusion around SNAP. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/09/b...

They keep their access to food & healthcare.

ICE gets paid. They continue to terrorize the public.

Yet the poorest & most vulnerable go without food assistance.

Renewable energy is already cheaper than fossil fuels.

The market responds unless regulation prevents it. In the US, regulation is in the way.
