Every time I use my switch 2 in portable mode I get reminded that the battery life on this thing kinda sucks. And I was just playing a switch 1 game.

Probably thr biggest genre that is still largely absent from the switch 2 is action rpgs. There's rumors of Diablo 4 heading to switch 2, but it absolutely needs more. Last epoch, grim dawn, I want all of them. Mouse mode alone makes managing inventory 100x better.

One of the best things about creating something is being able to instill joy into another human being based on that creation. Generative AI doesn't create joy. It creates an asset for an end product in order to make money. It changes "I made this for you" into "I made this for money".

The fresh prince of pooh-bear. The alternate universe nobody wants.

Was about time that Hasbro brought universes beyond to D&D. Time for Hasbro to fortnite and ruin another property they own.

I genuinely love video games. The indie space has a lot of really cool people making niche games that provide experience i didn't know I wanted and it is awesome. I hope to add my own game to the world someday.

Xbox has fumbled the bag so hard. Imagine doubling back down on exclusives and then laying off all of the studios that *make* the exclusives people were remotely interested in. Phil Spencer made missteps. Sharma is burning the company to the ground.

Job plus fatherhood is burning me the hell out. Been in a bad headspace for a bit now and man it feels like it just keeps going. Took some time off work to visit family and not only did I get sick during that time, got eaten alive by bugs while there. So I was sick *and* itchy the entire time.

One of the best things that I think is lost by the preference towards visual media rather than written word is the ability to ponder. If something in words causes us to stop for a moment and contemplate, we have that time. A video doesn't care. A video pressures you by its existence to keep going.

Slay the spire 2 has already eclipsed the original was my favorite game of all time and it isn't even out if early access yet. There are *so* many fun deck combos to find and pilot. It's just so good.

Dad gamer tip: you can control slay the spire 2's menus on a controller with the right control stick. So you can play slay the spire 2 one handed while you have your other arm wrapped around your 10 month old who's sleeping on your chest.

If you use GitHub (especially if you pay for it!!) consider doing this *immediately*

GitHub opted *everyone* into training. No matter if you pay for the service (like I do). WTH

The new last epoch season is... fine. I love this game, but after essentially 3 seasons where they do more or less the same thing with a different flavor, I think they are losing people. Really hope the expansion hits hard because they don't seem to be able to do seasons well.

My gamjng hot take is that most of the latest Fromsoft games aren't actually that great from a boss mechanics design-wise. It's just that everyone assumes they are going to be hard, so they give a huge pass to unfair / bad design just assuming "This is what hard is".

Deegan running away with 250 west sucks because he just consistently shows he has no respect for his competitors. Really looking forward to him being put in his place once he starts racing 450. He will learn real quick that kind of behavior doesn't fly in the 450s.

Ok but slay the Spire 2 so far is everything i wanted in a sequel. A lot more card synergies and playing with themes. Makes cobbling together a deck a ton of fun. A lot of fun toys and I haven't even unlocked most of the cards for the ironclad yet

Having a house with a basement that does not have a sump pump was a mistake.

I'm "happy for my friend who is actively realizing a dream opportunity"-maxing. @caljones.com is first class, loves magic deeply, is an excellent writer, and I pretty much trust anything he puts his name on at this point. Love seeing him succeed and cascade cascade will be a publication to watch.

I cannot wait for slay the Spire 2. I'm so freaking excited to play the sequel to a game that is in strong contention as my favorite of all time.

Megacrit, shut up and take my money. 4 player coop in slay the Spire 2? Cards specifically for multiplayer synergies? The sequel to one of mu favorite games of all time is looking to surpass the original and I didn't know that was possible.

Watching my wife dance with our 8 month old son in their pajamas. Both of them are an absolute gift and I adore them. Very happy I married someone who likes to have fun and be a little silly.

I'm a really big supercross fan. Love seeing Kenny take the win tonight. He's been due for one. Hope he can stick in this season and make it a close one with Hunter and the other contenders. Lot of talent this season. I love to see it.

When DMing, I lean pretty heavily towards building encounters that either center around or lean towards combat. As a change of pace for my players, I've essentially swapped to a myster/social encounter for an adventure and it's been going really well so far.
