Change doesn’t happen because those in power suddenly decide to be bolder - it happens when. Greens push them to be better. And on climate, that couldn’t be more urgent. Vote Green to keep fossil fuels in the ground, where they belong

So pleased to hear this confirmed in the PM’s speech. Big congrats to @makevotesmatter.bsky.social and all who’ve campaigned for it! At last we have a chance to restore trust in our politics with a system where “everyone’s views count and everyone’s vote matters” 👏👏👏

Spot on from @johnharris1969.bsky.social
- “comfy, cosy, simple two-party politics” is over. Trying to shoehorn the complexity of our society & economy into 2 parties through our ludicrous voting system simply won’t work. Burnham says he still supports PR - so where’s the action?
Labour is nostalgic for two-party politics. That cosy, simple time is over – let it go | John Harris
Our fragmented political model will endure for the foreseeable future – and Reform will benefit from it until Burnham learns that cooperation is key, says Guardian columnist John Harris

Don't confuse "wealth" with "super-wealth". The wealthy already pay their fair share because their wealth generally comes from earnings. But the super-wealthy pay nothing because they earn very little on paper. They instead make money with their money — which isn't taxed because we only tax earnings
