Salvador Dali's Last Supper at the National Gallery in D.C. Stopped me in my tracks and I made the people I was with wait for me to stare at it for a while. I've seen it at least once since then without the same effect. I think it speaks to the participatory nature of art, even when it seems static.

We made a point of visiting the Resistance museum in Oslo while there this spring, largely because I remembered you posting about it. They told us we would spend 40 minutes there. We spent 2.5 hours. Absolutely blown away. Will take this recommendation as well.

Met some folks with a concrete canoe at a Grateful Dead concert in the late eighties or early nineties. They were going to the show(s) on the way to the competition.
