The lion dance is said to ward off bad spirits and bless one with good health for the year 🤩

We went to a Japanese festival a bit back where this dance was performed but she was so scared of the big lion head haha.

Day 2. Ginkgo leaves in various colorations. 🍃🍂

For some reason I always thought these were called ギンコ (Ginko) in Japanese but apparently they are called イチョウ (Ichou)… 😱
The more you learn… haha!

Lately I’ve been seeing more and more Gouache (is it pronounced GUache or Goache? 👀🤔) painters and painting on my feed, and something just clicked. It looks like such fun and seems like it allows for so many more creative liberties than some other styles do.
