Interestingly these kinds of conversions were popular for mainstream saloons in the 50s/60s. From what I understand you had to pay VAT/Purchase tax on the base car but you didn't pay tax on the conversion

I ran in to the same problem, but apparently if you look for a UK/Ireland based receiver on kiwisdr.com/public/ you can tune it to R4 LW and get it that way.
